and Beyond

Over the course of the next few months, we will be adding new resources to this site, including New York teacher created unit and lesson plans developed through the Intel® Teach Program and from trainings ongoing throughout the state on Smart Technologies, as well as from NYIT's Educational Enterprise Zone® , a consortium of museums, cultural institutions, research centers, corporations and school districts who develop and offer NYS standards-based videoconferencing and other programming. The Technology Placement Program helps NY teachers bring advanced technologies home, and supplies the professional and technical support needed to maximize benefits to both teachers and students.

The Intel® Teach Program is a proven, worldwide professional development program that helps educators enhance 21st century learning through the effective use of technology. Visit the site and check out some of Intel's neat interactive tools.

White boards have become an increasingly popular technology tool in the classroom. Smart Technologies pioneered them and continues to add remarkable features to their capabilities. To learn more about Smart Board and its use in the classroom visit their education site.

The Educational Enterprise Zone® of the New York Institute of Technology members work collaboratively to bring content experts into the PreK - 12 classroom through interactive videoconferencing programming. For more information and a listing of their over 300 participating organizations, visit the EEZ website.

To support New York teachers in the use of technology in the classroom, Intel, the New York Institute of Technology, New York State Teacher Centers, Microsoft, Adobe and Dell sponsor the Technology Placement Program (TPP) . This new program offers reduced-price computer bundles and software as well as professional development and computer support. NY teachers can learn more about the program by clicking here.
